Compared to the poor new upgrades for the iPhone 7, those for new MacBook Pro, according to information revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo, should be huge. Yes, Apple plans to release a new MacBook Pro later this year.
New version will be thinner and lighter with design styles taken from the 12 – inch Macbook. Pros will be equiped with Touch ID support, to provide users with a new way how to unlock their Macs. Also a brand new OLED display touch bar will be added above the keyboard, which will replace physical keys on the top. Regarding connectivity, the device will feature USB-C support and Thunderbolt 3. All these changes will be applied on both 13″ and 15″ Pro models.
Additionally Apple will also release a new 13-inch MacBook variation very similar to the latest 12-inch version. According to the Kuo’s notes, MacBook Air will not become obsolete as we thought, but instead it will remain as entry-level option. MacBook will become the middle-tier model and ofcourse MacBook Pro as before will be the high-end choice.
As Ming-Chi Kuo reported, it looks like the Apple MacBook Pro updates are going to be the main point of this year’s conference program, and we are very excited about that.
